چکیده

A bstract We study the temporal evolution of circuit complexity for a subsystem in harmonic lattices after global quantum quench mass parameter, choosing initial reduced density matrix as reference state. Upper and lower bounds are derived entire system. The is evaluated by employing Fisher information geometry covariance matrices. discuss numerical results evolutions block consecutive sites chains with either periodic or Dirichlet boundary conditions, comparing them entanglement entropy. For infinite chains, asymptotic value studied through generalised Gibbs ensemble.

Strongly correlated fermions after a quantum quench.

Using the adaptive time-dependent density-matrix renormalization group method, we study the time evolution of strongly correlated spinless fermions on a one-dimensional lattice after a sudden change of the interaction strength. For certain parameter values, two different initial states (e.g., metallic and insulating) lead to observables which become indistinguishable after relaxation. We find t...

Quantum relaxation after a quench in systems with boundaries.

We study the time dependence of the magnetization profile, m(l)(t), of a large finite open quantum Ising chain after a quench. We observe a cyclic variation, in which starting with an exponentially decreasing period the local magnetization arrives to a quasistationary regime, which is followed by an exponentially fast reconstruction period. The nonthermal behavior observed at near-surface sites...

Prethermalization in a nonintegrable quantum spin chain after a quench.

We study the dynamics of a quantum Ising chain after the sudden introduction of a nonintegrable long-range interaction. Via an exact mapping onto a fully connected lattice of hard-core bosons, we show that a prethermal state emerges and we investigate its features by focusing on a class of physically relevant observables. In order to gain insight into the eventual thermalization, we outline a d...

Entropy of isolated quantum systems after a quench.

A diagonal entropy, which depends only on the diagonal elements of the system's density matrix in the energy representation, has been recently introduced as the proper definition of thermodynamic entropy in out-of-equilibrium quantum systems. We study this quantity after an interaction quench in lattice hard-core bosons and spinless fermions, and after a local chemical potential quench in a sys...

New Initial Conditions for Quantum Field Simulations after a Quench

Investigation of initial value problems for quantum fields using numerical simulation are difficult. The dynamics cannot be computed exactly and one has to use e.g. the classical approximation, the large N or Hartree approximation. It is then not obvious how to specify initial conditions properly. Here we focus on this problem and investigate a new way to supply initial conditions for classical...
